Brick Builder Registration closed June 17. MOC registration closed June 19 for those already registered as Brick Builders. We allow walk-up registrations for the convention for $120, cash only. You will only be able to view the MOCs, access the vendors, attend any presentations and participate in games (if there are still openings). You will not receive a goodie bag, door prize or custom printed bricks. You can display a MOC if the theme coordinator has room, but you will not be eligible for a trophy.
Creating an account is the first step to registering for the convention. Once you have created a Brick Builder account, you can purchase your convention pass, workshops and various swag items. If you are looking for public exhibition tickets, go to our homepage and click on "Public day Tickets HERE!" That will take you to Eventbrite where you can make the purchase.

Verify your age.
Pick a Username and fill out the form.

Once you activate your account, you will be returned to the Login screen and will also receive a confirmation email.
How to purchase a Brick Builder Convention pass on bricksbythebay.org
Login to your account and hover your pointer over Brick Builder.
Click on Brick Builder Account.
Fill out the form with your contact info and click Update.
You will now be able to purchase your Brick Builder Pass.
Click on your name.
Check Adult early ticket.
Click Add to cart.
Select any items you wish to purchase, then click Add to cart.
If you wish to register another person, click Add a Brick Builder and fill out the form.
When you are done and ready to purchase, click Go to Cart.
Select a payment method and make your purchase.

If you attended BBTB 2020, and are attending BBTB 2022 June 23-26, 2022, you can pick it up in person at the administration desk.

Bricks by the Bay will follow Federal, State and local regulations for COVID-19 protocols. As of April 1, 2022 facial coverings are strongly recommended, but not required. Subject to change based on current conditions. Please bring a mask with you in the event they become required.

GBC (Great Ball Contraption)
Morning session 10 AM - 12 PM
Afternoon session 4 PM - 6 PM
The Great Ball Contraption is composed of a collection of separate modules that are created and brought together to form a continuous loop. It is similar to a Rube Goldberg machine, but with Lego® balls. In this workshop, you will have the opportunity to build your own module and are encouraged to bring it to the show floor following the workshop's conclusion. You will also learn about the standards and specifications that help define GBC.
HOW TO BUILD CIRCLES OUT OF SQUARES
Morning session 10 AM - 12 PM
Afternoon session 4 PM - 6 PM
Come and learn how to build circles out of squares. In this workshop, you'll learn how to build a circle, cylinder, ellipse, spheres, and more. We'll use plates, slopes, technic parts and various other pieces to build anything round. You'll also get to try three different circle-building techniques hands-on.
MICROPOLIS BUILDING
Afternoon session 1 PM - 3 PM
Micropolis is a fan-designed standard for building tiny cityscapes in LEGO®. Come learn the simple guidelines and build a Micropolis-scale local landmark. This workshop will also go over some SNOT (Studs Not On Top) techniques, detailing, and brick geometry.
To register a MOC, login to your Brick Builder Account. In the Brick Builder Section, click on your name, scroll down toward the bottom of the page and click the “Add MOCs” button. Then enter the requested information. Pending Theme Coordinator approval, your MOC will be registered. The last day to register a MOC is June 19, 2022. Remember to have a photo ready to upload!

We are one of the few conventions that welcomes persons under the age of 18, and have categories for Junior Builders (12 and under) and Teen Builders (13-17). However, anyone under the age of 18 must also have a parent or legal guardian register as a "Brick Builder" as well as supervise their child at all times.
In most areas we are using tables provided by the hotel or convention center. These come in several sizes: 6’ x 30”, 6’ x 18”, 8’ x 30”, and 8’ x 18”. Rope stanchions will be placed 18" from the tables to keep the crowds away on Saturday and Sunday, but have to be in place prior to the Fire Marshal's inspection on Friday. In certain circumstances you may bring your own tables by advance arrangement. This request must be made 60 days prior to the convention's start to be incorporated into the floor plan and is normally reserved for LUGs bringing a collaborative display.
You must first be a registered Brick Builder and be logged into your account. Next click on "Brick Builder" from the homepage and then 2022 Schedule. Use the arrows at the bottom left to toggle between the days.
Sign in to your account.
Click on the name of the participant.
Scroll down to the bottom and click on the "Game sign up" button.
Choose your games!
Click on Update.
Need to change your games? Easy!
Follow the directions above and make your changes.
Game sign ups will be active until 11:59pm (Pacific) on 6/20/22. Any open spaces will be assigned at the con.
Please be on time as your spot will be given away.
Teams and partner games, please have each person choose that game and you will partner up at the show.
